Some of my work is suitable for display at large scale as corporate and public wall art. Other images are better suited to smaller scale locations whether printed out for more intimate settings or for digital use on computer screens.

The panoramas

I never understand why photographers feel the need to explain themselves - let your images do the talking! However, in this case its perhaps justified.
Most of the panoramas I make, certainly those I can print up to 2 metres across, are created from one camera shot. They are not stitched together later from a number of pictures. This means the picture is as I saw it and results from one shutter press.
A few of the bigger panoramas above 2 metres have been made by joining multiple images together. They tend to be far sharper and more "realistic", but are they nicer to look at? You decide!

Without sleep in a desert of concrete
Some of the pictures on the website will form part of a collection of monochrome images of industrial landscapes from Birmingham, Manchester and other places in the Midlands and North West England.
There is just time, if I hurry, to capture what's left of our industrial heritage before it is finally (and mostly justifiably) cleaned up and gentrified. Leaving resources like the canals of Birmingham to decay away would have been disgraceful, but as the industrial gives way to residential, I'm hoping to capture such transitions as are left to see.
Of special interest are the ephemera, things that are there one minute and gone the next as the developers move in, and an area moves from derelict, through a period of rapid change, to a more stable state as the new users take over.

Many of my images are suitable for use in digital media, especially websites. Take a look at the Wide Format section of this website for samples.
The images are cropped to a 3:1 proportion and work well printed full size at 2 metres across or, as you can see on this page, they can fit just fine in a more compact space.
